One newspaper reported: "The name Suzy Perette vividly suggests a small waisted little minx with a lot of Gallic bounce. The name was thought up by sheer chance at the Sidney Blauners' dinner table in Manhattan. The Blauners, their children and a french governess were talking about the new moderate price dress business. Asked for a typical french name, the governess came up with Suzy and then Pirouette which was switched to Perette."
Another Ad reads "And this is Suzy Perette's adaptation of Dior dress, executed in cerise satin and modified for American consuctions. Belt is wider, neck scooped."
