A truly stunning 1959 Suzy Perette dress! Done in a brilliant blue heavy satin. Wide shoulders, nipped in waist and luscious bubble skirt with gathered flounce at the hem. Comes with bow belt. Skirt is lined in linen/cotton and bodice in satin. Back metal zipper.
One newspaper reported: "The name Suzy Perette vividly suggests a small waisted little minx with a lot of Gallic bounce. The name was thought up by sheer chance at the Sidney Blauners' dinner table in Manhattan. The Blauners, their children and a french governess were talking about the new moderate price dress business. Asked for a typical french name, the governess came up with Suzy and then Pirouette which was switched to Perette."
